As a grassroots nonprofit 100% of your donation goes directly toward our mission of preventing extinction and raising the standards of care for turtles and tortoises in captivity. We do this by providing high quality habitats, nutrition, and veterinary care for the turtles and tortoises in our care. This allows us to evaluate and develop appropriate diets, habitat designs, and biomarkers for the species in our assurance programs; and to share the results with other institutions across the globe. When it is safe for them to be returned, these thriving captive populations will one day be the savior of wild tortoise populations.

Your donations also support our rescues: form those turned over due to an owners inability to provide daily care, or those in need of veterinary care or procedures, to Fish and Wildlife confiscations that have been smuggled into the United States illegally.
